Thanet Crane Hire lifts bridge sections ready for transport by water.
Our commitment to investment in new lifting technology and the training and development of our people has been featured in Kent’s premium online news channel.
The new Bocker 46/6000 pictured above was the first new crane to joined the fleet, and we have a second one already on order.
Plus two more brand new cranes will be arriving in the spring:
And a new crane-assisted lorry in the shape of a Mercedes Arocs with a Fassi 365A crane joins our transport fleet in April.
Our £2m investment package for 2022 includes £30,000 dedicated to the training and development of our locally based staff.
Many Thanet Crane Hire staff joined the company without any industry experience and have benefitted from the training and career progression we offer to people who are keen to learn.
We provide HGV training for drivers joining our transport division and nationally recognised qualifications for our lifting operatives.
Our training structure gives new starters immediate experience of lifting operations on working sites, building up real-life experience alongside existing team members. New starters train for a slinger/signaller qualification which includes all the essential health and safety knowledge for safe site work.
After working as a slinger/signaller, the next level of qualification is as a lift supervisor. This leads on the final stage where the trainee can go on to qualify as a mobile crane operator.
